Archontariki is
a newly restored villa built from natural materials, for
which a great deal of knowledge and insight in tradition
combined with an ecological respect for its natural
surroundings was needed:. It is found in the heart of a
small village, in a region surrounded by nature abundant in
rare plants and species, scattered among historical and
prehistoric monuments.
The village is named Mahairi and it is found in the region
of Apokoronas. Built on the side of a mountain, it dominates
Apokoronas with its rivers and Venetian buildings. In front
of it unfolds the Cretan Sea with the sandy beaches of gulf
of Kalives.
The village is easily accessible. It is situated four
kilometers from the national road, 23 kilometers from the
city of Chania, 18 kilometers from the harbour of Souda and
24 kilometers from the airport.
At a distance of 2
kilometers the villages Nio Xorio and Armenoi can be found
with its shops and traditional taverns. 5 kilometers and 8
kilometers away respectively the coastal towns of Kalives
and Vamos can also be found .
There are busses from Maxairi twice a week, and there is
also a regular daily bus service from Nio Xorio which is a
kilometer away .
Archontariki Villa is 100 square meters in size .
The villa has two floors. On the ground floor there is a
living room with fireplace, kitchen and toilet and on the
top floor there are two bedrooms with a big veranda and a
splendid view. A barbecue area exists in the exterior area.
